Due to appropriate measures taken as well as because of a decline in industrial production, the discharge of SO2, of particulate matter, and lead has fallen back, while NOx and CO emissions have been on the increase. They are discharged by the transport and the energy industry (power stations). The regulations on air purity and technological discharge limits are appropriate.
