Health Protection
The Hungarian population’s state of health is very poor by international standards. The rate of mortality is too high. Among the leading causes of death, environmental factors feature considerably. Part of the National Environmental Program is the National Environmental-health Action Program, being developed jointly by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry for Environment. They have undertaken to examine the health hazards of environmental factors, revealing and assessing problems, as well as making recommendations for their solution.
