Arcanum subscriber as an individual

Pays an individual user subscription fee for the service, in exchange for which they are entitled to:

use the system without restrictions from any computer
share their password with people living in the same household (however, only one user can access the system with one password at a time)
search in the database, view the data
download a maximum of 50 pages at a time - up to a maximum of 5,000 pages per day - store them on their own computer, print them
use the saved contents as illustrations with the appropriate quotations in the works intended for the public. (A license from Arcanum does not exempt the User from obtaining permission from the original rights holders of the content to be used in public form)

The official form of reference to the database is: adt.arcanum.com and/or Arcanum Newspapers

The subscriber is not entitled to:

share their password with a third party. If it becomes known to the third party, it is obliged to take measures to change it
transfer the saved data to the third party
to share the saved data with third party

Renewal and Cancellation Terms

Subscriptions

There are various payment and subscription options available for using the Services. These options can be found in the individual Services and may change from time to time. Once you register for a free trial or your initial payment is processed, your subscription has begun, and you can immediately access the relevant Service.

1. Automatic Renewals of Subscriptions. Unless otherwise noted in the terms of your offer, subscriptions automatically renew, except for gift subscriptions. This means that once you become a subscribing member, your subscription will automatically renew based on the subscription program you chose (e.g. semiannually, monthly, etc.). Unless you are notified otherwise, you will be charged the rate stated at the time of purchase at the beginning of the billing term of your subscription via the billing method you have provided to us. Please ensure that your billing information is correct to prevent an interruption in your subscription.

Prices and terms for subscriptions may change at any time. The price and terms in place when you made your initial purchase or when your subscription last renewed will stay in effect for the duration of that subscription period, but new prices and terms may apply to renewals or new subscriptions. Arcanum will give you reasonable notice of any change in price or terms before they go into effect. If you do not want to renew your subscription under these new prices or terms, you should cancel your subscription as described below.

2. Subscription Cancellations and Refunds. You may cancel your Arcanum subscription by logging into your My Account page or by contacting us. Unless otherwise stated in the terms of your subscription, the following terms will apply:

Monthly Subscriptions: If you cancel your monthly subscription, you will NOT retain access to your Services for the remainder of the subscription period. If you do not cancel your subscription within your subscription period, we will renew your subscription every month until you cancel.

Subscriptions Longer than a Month, Billed Upfront:
If you cancel this type of subscription before the end of your subscription period, you are not eligible for a refund (this does not affect your statutory rights), but you will retain access to the relevant Services for the remainder of your subscription period, after which your subscription will be cancelled. If you do not cancel your subscription within your subscription period, we will renew your subscription for additional terms equivalent in length to your current subscription (unless you are notified otherwise), until you cancel. After your subscription renews, you are not eligible for any refunds. Refunds are not based on account usage.

ADT subscriber as an institution

public collections, educational institutions, associations, foundations, limited liability companies, limited liability companies, other legal entities, business associations, business organizations. Institutional subscribers' user rights and contracts are established as follows:

based on a unique contract and quotation
authentication based on IP address
authentication based on EDUID for members in the case of a higher education institution
payment is made by bank transfer
In addition to IP address access, password access may also be associated with the subscription according to individual agreement, which can only be shared among employees of the institution
search in the database, view the data
download up to 50 pages at a time, store them on your own computer, print them
use the downloaded content as illustrations with appropriate quotations in the works intended for the public. (A license from Arcanum does not exempt the User from obtaining permission from the original rights holders of the content to be used in public form)
