Tomcsányi Ádám, szül. Kamánfalun 1755. decz. 4-én. 1801-ben a pesti egyetem tanára lett. Meghalt 1831. jul. 24-én.
A jenai mineralogiai társulat tiszteletbeli tagjának választotta.
Munkái: Tentamen publicum ex physica stb. (1801–1808). Dissertatio de theoria phaenomenorum electricitatis Galvanianae (1809). Propositiones ex universa physica et oeconomia rurali stb. (1811–12) stb.
