GURÚL, GURUL, (gur-úl) önh. m. gurúl-t. Valamely gömbölyü, kerek, hengerded test saját tengelye körül földön vagy más alapzaton forogva halad.
Gurulnak a sebesen ragadt kocsi kerekei. Rokon vele közelebb a latin curro, innen currus, cursus stb.
