NYARGALÓ, (nyar-og-al-ó) mn. és fn. tt. nyargaló-t. 1) Nyargalva, vágtatva futkosó, szaladgáló. A nyargaló paripák dobogása távolra elhallik. Átv. ért. nyargaló szél, förgeteg, hullámok. 2. Némely vidéken azon díj, melyet a lovas pandurnak fizetnek az elfogott gyanus emberért, vagy a kerülőnek a behajtott marháért.
