Dahlia
Dahlia Cav. 1791 (növ.), a georgina-virág (l. o.) régibb neve, Dahl svéd füvészről (megh. Abo-ban 1787) nevezve. Minthogy azonban már 1791-nél előbb is volt Dahlia Thunb. (a. m. Trichocladus Pers., a humamelideák génusza 2 fajjal Afrika déli részén); a Cavanilles-féle Dahliát Georgina Willd. s Georgia Spreng. névre változtatták Georgi szt.-pétervári tudós tiszteletére.
