De Coster Károyl Tódor Henrik, belga iró, szül. Münchenben 1827 aug. 20., megh. Ixelles-ben 1879 máj. 7. Jogot tanult, 1855. ügyvéd lett, s korán kezdett irodalommal foglalkozni. Főművei: Légendes flamandes (2. kiad., Brüsszel, 1861), Contes brabançons (u. o. 1861) és La légende de Thyl Ulenspiegel u. o. 1868).
