Pappá szenteltetett 1833 április 21. 1852 julius 13. bécsi udvari plébános, 1853 jan. 8. pagranyi címzetes apát, 1857 márc. 31. vallásügyi miniszteri tanácsos, 1859. pápai prelátus, 1862. carrhei püspök in part. infidelium és a bécsi egyházmegyének érsekhelynöke, 1875 jan. 12. bécsi hercegérsek, 1877 jan. 22. bibornok.
