Patmore (ejtsd: petmór) Coventry, angol költő, szül. Woodfortban 1823 jul. 2. A British Museum alkönyvtárosa volt (1846-68), jelenleg Hastingsban él. Költeményeinek gyüjteménye: Tamerton church tower and other poems (London 1853) és The angel in the house (u. o. 1854) nagy tetszésre talált; irta még: Faithul for ever (1860); Victories of love (1862) stb., és összes művei Poems címen (2 köt., 1886) jelentek meg, az Ön English metrical law címü értekezéssel együtt.
