TELL-EL-AMARNA. Város, amelyet Ehnaton Egyiptom fővárosául építtetett (Kr. e. 1387–1366). 1887-ben itt több mint 350 agyagtáblát találtak, amelyek IV. Amenhotep fáraónak Nyugat-Ázsia uralkodójával folytatott diplomáciai levelezését tartalmazzák.
