Farkas József
Farkas József (Gárdony, 1833. márc. 23. – Bp., 1908. nov. 27.): egyháztörténész, akadémiai tanár. A teológiát Kecskeméten végezte, majd a bécsi, hallei és zürichi egy.-eken tanult. 1857-től teológiai tanár Kecskeméten, majd 1860-tól Bp.-en. A Magyar Protestáns Irodalmi Társaság tagja. – F. m. A pesti ref. egyház 101 éves története (Kecskemét, 1898). – Irod. Szőts Farkas: F. J. emlékezete (Budapesti ref. theol. Akad. Ért. 1909); Pruzsinszky Pál: F. J. emlékezete (Bp., 1917).
