Kaposi Sámuel (Rimaszombat, 1660 – Gyulafehérvár, 1713. jún. 23.): ref. teológus, tanár, csillagász. 1683-ban az utrechti, 1685-ben a leideni, 1686-ban ismét az utrechti egy.-et látogatta, 1688-ban mint a teológia doktora tért haza. 1689-től a Gyulafehérvárra menekült sárospataki ref. isk. tanára. Több, főleg csillagászati tárgyú kéziratot hagyott hátra: Epitome astronomie; Calendariographie; Tractatus mathematicus. – M.
