goj – ‘nem zsidó ember ‹eredetileg a zsidók szóhasználatában›’.
Jiddis szó a héber gój, azaz ‘(idegen, pogány) nép’ alapján; a héber Bibliában ennek többes gójim alakja volt használatban ‘a (zsidóságon kívül álló, más) népek’ értelemben.
