szupé – ‘étkezés a késő esti órákban’.
A francia souper átvétele; ez egy germán (alnémet) supen (‘kortyol, hörpöl’) igéből ered, s így rokon a ‘leves’ jelentésű német Suppe, angol sup szókkal, s a magyar zupással is.
