Schreiber Simon,
rabbi, sch. Moses főrabbi-író fia, szül. 1821-ben Pozsonyban; 1842-ben rabbi volt Izraelita-Nagy-Mártonban (Mattersdorf, Sopronm.). 1860-ban meghívták Krakkóba, hol a galicziai orthodox zsidóság vezére volt, 1879-ben megválasztották az osztrák parlamentbe, 1880-ban alapította a Mahazike ha-Dat zsidó folyóiratot, mely jelenleg is fennáll Lembergben, hol 1883. márcz. 25. meghalt.
