Csány
Csány, népes puszta, Csongrád vgyében, ut. p. Csongrádhoz 1 1/4 mfdnyire: 2210 magyar kath., 8 zsidó lak., kath. paroch. templommal, fekete és sárga homokos határral, dohánytermesztéssel. Határa 3500 hold, s mind allodiuma gr. Károlyi Lajosnak és Györgynek. Ebből 1600 hold dohánytermesztéssel miveltetik; 1900 hold pedig rét és legelő. A grófok részéről egy ispány lakik Csányon.
