Cedrium, Κεδριον, czédrus-olaj, melyet Plin. h. n. XVI, 11, 52 szerint úgy nyertek, hogy czédrusfa darabokat a tűz köré raktak. Vitruv. II, 9, 13 azt írja: Ex cedro oleum, quod cecreum (cedrium) dicitur, nascitur, quo reliquae res cum sunt unctae, uti etiam libri a tineis et a carie non laeduntur, tehát hogy a moly meg ne rágja a pergament és hogy ez a romlásnak, idő viszontagságainak jobban ellenálljon.
