Chaerephon
Chaerephon, Χαιρεϕων, Socrates híve és tisztelője (Plat. Apol. 5), ki azt a kérdést intézte a delphii jóshelyhez,vajjon van-e Socratesnél bölcsebb ember. A hagyomány szerint válaszul ezt kapta: σ Τ οϕος Σοϕοκλης, σοϕωτερος δ’ Ευριπιδης, ανδρων δ’ απαντων Σωχρατης σοϕωτατος. V. ö. Xen. Mem. 1, 2, 48. 2, 3, 1. F. E.
