Ily előnevü család Szirmay* szerint kihaltak közé sorozandó. Lehoczky szerint* pedig Bihary Ferencz 1666-ban lett báróvá.

Nem ismerve ezek között az összeköttetést, azt is csak pusztán kell megemlitenem, hogy Fényes szerint a Bihary név jelenleg is Szabolcs vármegye nemes családai között áll.
