1567-ben Malomfalva néven jelentkezik a forrásokban. (C. Suciu: Dicţionar istoric.) Csittszentiván filiája volt, s lakói Csittfalva templomát használták közösen, amíg el nem pusztult.
Külön templomuk később sem volt. Ma is Csittszentiván filiája.
