A futómadarak rendjébe tartozó ausztráliai madárnem, ill. ennek vmelyik egyede. Testalkata kisebb a struccénál, nyaka, lába rövidebb, magassága 1 1/2–2 m között van, színe barna. Foltos emu, újhollandi emu.
