Athesis, helyesebben Atesis, ’Ατησινος, ’Ατισων, m. Adige (Etsch), Rhaetia folyója, az ottani Alpesekből ered, fölveszi az Isarcust (Eisach), Veronánál hajózható, átfoly Felső Italia síkján s északra a Padeustól, a melylyel több csatorna köti össze, az Adriai tengerbe szakad.
